Prime is safe for fresh and saltwater aquariums. It detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to remove them more efficiently. Use Sechem Prime to detoxify any heavy metals in the tap water at typical concentration levels. Prime also promotes the production and regeneration of the natural slime coat. Seachem Prime is non-acidic, will not impact pH, and will not overactive skimmers.

Use at startup and whenever adding or replacing water. Prime may also be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity.

Directions: Use one capful (5 ml) for each 200 L (50 gallons) of new water. This removes approximately one mg/L of ammonia, four mg/L of chloramines, or five mg/L of chlorine. For smaller doses, please note each cap thread is approx. 1 ml.
