This reformulation of their original Japanese mayonnaise is made the same way: using only egg yolks, which gives it a creamier, eggier taste than other mayonnaise you might be used to. The umami flavor in this version comes from yeast extract rather than traditional MSG, but it’s the same great Kewpie flavor that people have come to know and love.
Kewpie Mayonnaise Sqz is excellent as a dipping sauce, topping, or seasoning in any dish you think could use a little tangy, umami flavor. Try it as a salad dressing or as the perfect complement to your avocado toast because everything can use a little Kewpie.
